A few weeks ago, I invested in a Nutribullet. For those who don't know about this amazing bit of kit, it's what I would call a Super Juicer but better. It makes the best juices and smoothies I have ever tasted - and believe me, I've tried a whole load of different juicing machines over the years. Mostly they do the job but they either waste a lot of the nourishment or they're impossible to clean - or both. Fill a Nutribullet cup with fresh fruit, veggies, seeds, and fluid (I add water, goat's milk or organic soya milk depending upon the mix) and blast away for 30 seconds to one minute. This week so far, I've blitzed various combinations of apple, pineapple, kiwi, banana, apricots, carrot, organic raw beetroot, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and green leaves such as lollo rosso, bits of kale, and swiss chard (acelgas). I also keep a bag of mixed red berry fruits in the freezer and add a handful each time which is like putting in nutritious ice cubes. For extra sweetness and even more nourishment, I sometimes add a dried prune and a dried fig or a spoonful of good quality liquid honey. What you get is a blast of super nutrition. Filling, sustaining, delicious goodness. Great for anybody's health but especially worthwhile if you need to lose a few pounds/kilos, are dealing with poor digestion or constipation or haven't been too well and need a boost. I'd also recommend the Nutribullet to anyone who is worried about their cholesterol levels (see blogs below). Quick to prepare, easy to use and one of the best things about it is that it is SO easy to clean. And the book that comes with it is really excellent, full of thoughtful and useful recipe ideas. LOVE IT!
I bought mine from Lakeland.co.uk because they offer such a reliable customer service but Nutribullet is also available from other good outlets such as John Lewis and Amazon. Click here for more information or go to buynutribullet.co.uk
